Acceptance of These Terms

By using the Skip The Line website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the website or our services.

Our Services

Skip The Line is a private service provider that assists Alabama clients with vehicle title matters, including title transfers, lost/replacement titles, title problem resolution, bonded title assistance, and notary services as an add-on. We are an Alabama designated agent and are not affiliated with the Alabama Department of Revenue.

Case Review and Acceptance

All services begin with a $25 case review. Submitting information through our website or by email does not create a client relationship and does not guarantee that we will accept your case. Each case is reviewed before acceptance.

Case Review Expiration

The $25 case review fee is applied toward your service if you move forward within 3 days of the review. After that, the case is considered inactive and a new review may be required.

Fees and Third-Party Costs

Our service fees are listed on our Pricing page. State fees, taxes, mailing costs, bond costs, and other third-party charges are separate and subject to change. More complex cases may require additional fees depending on the work involved. We will communicate any additional costs before proceeding.

Bonded Title Cases

For bonded title cases we accept, all filings must be processed through our office. Clients may not submit bonded title paperwork directly to the Alabama Department of Revenue on cases we handle. This policy exists to ensure accuracy and proper submission.

No Guarantee of Approval

We focus on accurate handling and proper submission of your case. We do not guarantee approval of any matter. Approval depends on multiple factors, including the Alabama Department of Revenue and other third parties involved in the transaction. We do not guarantee approval in cases involving incomplete, inaccurate, unsupported, or ineligible information.

Processing Times

Processing timelines are determined by the Alabama Department of Revenue and other third parties. We do not guarantee processing times and are not responsible for delays caused by state agencies or third-party providers.

Client Responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate and complete information when submitting a case review, and to provide any additional documentation requested in connection with your case. You also agree to follow the process we direct you through, including instructions related to bond providers, original document delivery, and any filings we handle on your behalf.

Mailing of Original Documents — Tracking Required

If you mail original documents to us (including, without limitation, original vehicle titles, surety bonds, or supporting paperwork), you must use a tracked mailing service with signature confirmation, such as USPS Certified Mail, USPS Priority Mail Express, FedEx, or UPS. You must provide the tracking number to us on the same day you ship the documents. Untracked mail will not be accepted and may be refused on delivery or returned.

Before mailing an original title, you must also email us clear, legible photos of the front and back of the title. This serves as a record of the document’s condition prior to mailing and enables us to initiate a lost-title replacement request if the original is lost, damaged, or delayed in transit.

Limitation of Liability for Mail and Carrier Loss

Skip The Line is not responsible for original documents lost, damaged, delayed, misdelivered, or stolen while in the custody of the United States Postal Service, FedEx, UPS, or any other mail or courier service. Risk of loss during transit remains with you until documents are received and signed for at our designated mailing address. By mailing original documents to us, you acknowledge and accept this allocation of risk.

In the event an original title is lost in transit, and you have complied with the pre-mailing photo and tracking requirements above, we will cooperate with you to initiate a lost-title replacement so that your case can continue to move forward. Any additional fees, state fees, mailing costs, or delays associated with the replacement are the responsibility of the client.

Payment

Payment for the case review, service fees, and any additional costs is due before the corresponding work is performed, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment methods are specified at the time of engagement.

Refund Policy

The $25 case review fee is applied toward your service if you move forward within 3 days. After the review has been performed, the fee is generally non-refundable because the review itself represents the work performed. Refund requests for other services will be evaluated case by case in accordance with what has been performed and costs already incurred. [Insert any additional refund policy language as directed by counsel.]

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Alabama law, Skip The Line is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or lost opportunity, arising from your use of the website or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the fees you paid us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

No Legal Advice

The information on this website and provided during our services is not legal advice. We are not attorneys. If you require legal advice, please consult a licensed Alabama attorney.
